Please can someone help me with my gcse maths Fractions?

I have this sum "1 7/8 x 2 2/5 - 3 2/3" I cannot for the life of me work this one out. My tutor said today "just leave it and go onto the next one. I cant do this as I dont understand the first one. I know that you have to do the bodmas and that you turn them all into improper fractions. I have the answer, but my working out doesnt add up to the same as the answer. Please could someone help as I have been trying for 3 days now on this one sum. and please explain how as well. I would really appreciate it. Thanks
