How can I convince my parents to let me get a Dog , any pointers?

No wonder your parents don't want you to get a dog. what's wrong with a dog from the humane society or a dog rescue group. Your parents probably don't want the responsibility of pet ownership. It's a huge undertaking and they may not be financially secure enough to add a pet to the household. Go volunteer at a rescue or humane society. it will help you socially and also get you around lots of dogs.
