Is it fair to say that if Nixon had won in 1960; there wouldn't have BEEN a Cuban Missile Crisis? ?

Doubtful, I do not believe that Kennedy was the wonderful guy everyone said that he was but the Russians were testing us. Things were in motion that predated Kennedy's inauguration. The Russians were going to test US with or without JFK.
