I need to know what can be said about the prosperity/health& wealth gospel. Psychologically not spiritually!!!

I am writing a paper on the prosperity gospel, and I have to come to a conclusion about why it is so popular today. What are its underlying psychological components, and which theorists can I use to support an argument about it? Please please help~ I need some smart feedback that has some depth really quick!!Thanks
