How can I fix problem with page/ files disappearing and reappearing?

Every 10 secs - 2 mins whether there is a page opened or not, my whole screen will clear all the files/ taskbar and just show my desktop (Red moon desert); similar to what happens just before restart/ turn off, then go back to normal in 1-3 secs. What can I do to fix this problem ? (feels a little hackerific)
