HELP- Did I make the right decision????

I was supposed to go on a date this saturday with a girl i met through a friend. I heard she had a bad reputation for being promiscuous but UI was still gonna give her a shot. A few days ago I found out that this girl recently has been sleeping with a guy who has AIDS using a condom supposedly. And she knew he had AIDS. I decided to call the date off, since I felt like I could never get intimate with a girl who willingly slept with a guy who has AIDS. Did I make the right decision? Do you feel the same way?
