Could be the start of something great...or not?

So I met this girl in my dorm a month and a half ago. We became friends, but I started to like her more than a friend. I told her a few weeks ago and she said she liked me too, but she wasn't ready to start a relationship because she broke up with her ex 4 months ago, and because we have our 5 week winter recess coming up. She said that we will definitely keep in touch over break and she wants me to visit her at some point during the break. But I know she has this friend back home she has told me about...its complicated but she said she would NEVER date him, but she kind of wants to hook up with him. I really have no say in the matter, because we aren't dating, but I can't help but feel jealous. We hang out all the time at school, and I know we would have a great relationship if we started dating. But I don't know what to think about this guy and her...is she hooks up with him should I still pursue her as more than a friend? We are both really happy when we are together and I know that we could make it work...maybe I'm just stressing? Thanks in advance!
