Christians who genuinely love Jesus, hear my cry?

It truly saddens me over what most Christians do, this carrying of a cross thing. Really, why do you carry the thing that killed your beloved saviour around with you? I mean if someone shot your best friend with a specific gun, would you carry that gun around with you, hang up pictures of him/her getting shot on your wall, or even re-enact his/ her sad and painful death? Really, would you?
